The Maldon Salt Company has been producing sea salt since 1882, and still uses traditional methods at the salt works in Maldon, Essex today. Maldon salt is the main sponsor of this year’s cookery school theatre, where fresh, simple dishes will be brought life on stage using seasonal ingredients. Loved by the world’s top chefs and in home kitchens alike, the soft texture and clean, fresh taste of Maldon sea salt flakes brings out the flavour of all natural and fine foods. In fact, Maldon salt has become an institution over the past 130 years, exporting to over 45 countries. The Maldon Salt Company is a family business, currently being run by the fourth generation of the Osborne family, and is still Britain’s biggest sea salt exporter. Recently granted the prestigious Royal Warrant by Her Majesty The Queen, Maldon salt has become an important part of the British dining experience with its long and distinguished heritage.
Sponsors of the 2014 Edible Garden Show
The Morrisons Let’s Grow programme is delighted to be supporting The Edible Garden Show this year with prizes for the School Food Matters competition. Now in its 6th year, the Let's Grow programme aims to help schools capture the imagination of the nation's children by showing them where food comes from and inspiring them to grow their own fruit and veg in the school grounds. Since 2008, we’ve given away over £18million worth of gardening and cooking equipment to over 28,000 schools across the UK.
Capital Gardens is a group of garden centres and was formed in 1990 with roots going back to 1982 when a landscape partnership was formed. There are now four garden centres in total. One in North London at Alexandra Palace. Two in South London at Morden Hall Park, Neal’s Nurseries in Wandsworth and there is also a Hertfordshire branch at Wood’s of Berkhamsted.
