We are a mother and daughter business farming edible snails Helix aspersa maxima in Kent and Staffordshire. At Slow Summer Snail Farm we rear delicious fruit fed snails for chefs and enthusiastic cooks who want fresh local produce that will taste so much better than anything you can get out of a tin or the freezer.
The snails visit local schools to support delivery of the science curriculum and the farm is open to the public in the summer. Our mini snail farms with 6 cute babies and everything you need to look after them, make an ideal educational gift for children or a starting point for ‘Grow Your Own Food’ fans. We also encourage smallholders to rear their own at home by providing courses, a Smallholder Guide to rearing edible snails, livestock, housing and snail food.
