TV chef John Burton-Race on the menu at The Edible Garden Show

Hugely popular Michelin Star chef and TV personality John Burton-Race will get taste buds tingling with an array of fabulous recipes at The Edible Garden Show 2012. John will take to the stage in the cookery theatre at the show voted the Garden Event of the Year by the public after its launch in 2011. Save £1,300 on grocery bills by growing your own

Growing your own fruit and vegetables could slash more than £1,300 off annual grocery bills, according to the National Society of Allotment & Leisure Gardeners. Figures compiled by the NSALG reveal allotment holders spend around £200 a year growing crops that would cost £1,564 in shops. The news comes just months after consumer watchdog Which? found one-in-four people were growing more edible crops to cope with rocketing food and fuel prices. The Edible Garden Show 2012 to go ‘egg-stra’ mile for poultry lovers as cost-conscious consumers flock to keep chickens

Poultry will be even higher up the pecking order at The Edible Garden Show next year as Britain is witnessing the biggest revival in hen-keeping since the Second World War with 700,000 people flocking to keep chickens to beat the recession.
