The launch of The Edible Garden Show comes at a time when Grow Your Own has never been more topical. The concept of growing or producing your own food and drinks – for example through planting fruit and vegetables, home baking, brewing your own beer & wine, and bee keeping – has enjoyed a resurgence in recent years.
With tens of thousands of Britons on the waiting list for allotments – and famous figures including The Queen and US President Barack Obama among the international Grow Your Own enthusiasts – growing your own food seems certain to continue dominating the headlines.
