Delicious meals using home-grown ingredients will be whipped into culinary masterpieces at The Edible Garden Show 2013 thanks to hot new sponsor The Co-operative Membership.

The organisation, which represents millions of savvy shoppers, will be presenting The Cookery Theatre at the award-winning show when it returns to Stoneleigh Park, Warwickshire, from 15-17 March. The link-up is part of The Co-operative’s huge “here for you for life” drive to encourage self-sufficiency and a sustainable lifestyle – a perfect fusion with The Edible Garden Show’s passionate grow-your-own ideals.

The Co-operative Central & Eastern Region Membership is sponsoring The Cookery Theatre, where renowned TV chef Rachel Green will be among the talented cooks tantalising the taste buds with step-by-step guides to creating fabulous meals from plot to plate. The Cookery Theatre is just one of the great attractions at the UK’s only national event dedicated exclusively to grow-your-own and bursting with innovative products, top exhibitors and celebrity experts providing all you need to know about living the ‘Good Life’.

Popular Gardeners’ Question Time panellist Bob Flowerdew, BBC Gardeners’ World presenter Alys Fowler, TV botanist James Wong and resident grow-your-own guru Paul Peacock will share their passions for growing and eating home-grown produce at the show, which harvests a huge crop of top exhibitors and brings inspirational celebrity chefs and gardeners together under one roof.

Sabina Crouch, Co-operative and Membership Officer for Cambridge and East Anglia, said: “We are proud to sponsor the Cookery Theatre at The Edible Garden Show 2013.  The Co-operative Group is the UK’s largest mutual business, owned not by private shareholders but by over seven million consumers. The Edible Garden Show reflects the values and principles of The Co-operative Group and our members by encouraging self-sufficiency and a sustainable lifestyle.”

Scheduled for the beginning of the growing season, the grow-your-own event is a one-stop shop for anyone wishing for a slice of the ‘Good Life’ and has something for all the family from bees, chickens, goats and pigs to plants, seeds, compost, fruit presses, raised beds and innovative gadgets to making growing-your-own easier.

Tickets for the show cost £15 on the door (£12 in advance) with concessions for seniors and children. For more information or to buy tickets click here http://tegs.creative-seo.co.uk/visiting/buy-tickets or call 0844 338 8001
